Alone

So alone in a crowded room
Spin with me beneath the stars
As the world cries martini tears
As the men order in new beers
And my soul weeps for what could have been,
And you laugh along with them,
unobserving-
My deep sorrow.

The Bonn-Rose Poem

'Love me- just, love me' she said,
'For yours is the heart, and the soul,
and the whole of the song. Just-
Love me. From now and for all,
My short and your tall- together,
and how, we will laugh, leap & fall:
Together in sun and in snow, and
no I won't let you go. My love, just be.

Oh my love, is yours, and you mine.
Sharing joy- a true loves lifeline.

Quiet strength

Driving in my car
Don't know where I'm at
Didn't seem so far
Just don't think it's that-

I've kind of lost my way
And I can't see my friends,
But just like everything in life,
This time will surely end

I'll turn off the roundabout,
Discover a hidden sign,
I'll make a choice to do or go
When it's the proper time

Sometimes movement hides the stillness
And you trick yourself;
'I'm drowning my way through this'
Coping, surving, being strong-
When suddenly you realise
You've got it all so wrong

All life and beauty is achievable
At least you're starting with a goal
And much better still, girl, you got soul-

So find the minute,
Each chance is yours
Make a decision
Put yourself first!

Make yourself happy
And then help them too
After all, don't they love you?

Woman Returned

So many things
Have Changed
since I saw you last.

I have crossed oceans
Flown and Fallen
from the skies,
Caught myself and
been my own Hero.

So many things
have Changed.

There have been many faces,
Such wide smiles and
some Sorrow,
a little anger-
and now I am New.

Hello to you once more, for
Whils't we were Apart,
seeking unknowns to explore,
Change also remade you.

And we were of one heart,
the same through and through...
Now Fear.

Despite leaving our cocoon,
Eyes meet souls and-
Warm.

Hearts meet on lips,
And all is Home.

A Little Love

I only need
A little love-
No grand gestures
No epic meet.

A thought on waking,
and as you sleep
A smile on greeting,
My heart to keep.

I only need
A little love-
No big romance
No brilliant gem.

A word of kindness,
and brush of lips
A hand in hardship,
My heartbeat skips.

I only need
A little love.

Just faithfulness
and You.

Martyn

Martyn the Mellow Marshian

Martyn lives in Marshian Town,
Martyn never wears a frown,
why would one frown in Marshian town,
where everthing is upside down?

Martyn looks just like a pea,
Martyn never sings top C,
Fourteen arms and ninety toes,
You'll know he's happy when he glows!

Cuppa-cetic

(Or 'Tea and Toast').

On an island in the middle of the sea
they have rules unfamilar to you and me,
when life gives them citrus,
or language gets vicious,
they break out the digestives and tea.

When the weather turns colder,
or enemy advances get bolder,
Brits like to take life as it comes:
in a mug with a sugar (or two).

But why nibble on hobnobs
when it's raining door knobs,
you may ask (with valid concern).
It's all copacetic, they will reply
when life is pathetic, with teary eye,
As long as you've Assam in hand.
