Cuppa-cetic

(Or 'Tea and Toast').

On an island in the middle of the sea
they have rules unfamilar to you and me,
when life gives them citrus,
or language gets vicious,
they break out the digestives and tea.

When the weather turns colder,
or enemy advances get bolder,
Brits like to take life as it comes:
in a mug with a sugar (or two).

But why nibble on hobnobs
when it's raining door knobs,
you may ask (with valid concern).
It's all copacetic, they will reply
when life is pathetic, with teary eye,
As long as you've Assam in hand.
